This Man Killed Seven People in a Few Hours

When the phone rang at the police station, an intern picked it up. On the other side, a police officer asked for help to handle several bodies. It was March of 1987 and there were no cellphones. The police officers went to the whalebone beach and found the bodies of two girls and one boy laying on the sand. Next to one of the girls, a note read “you were the one who wanted this, the others were dragged into this.”

The crimes

It was on the 2nd of March that everything unfolded. Vítor Jorge, 38 years old at the time, worked at a bank and was a photographer in his spare time. On that day, he had been hired to photograph a teenager’s birthday party. After the party, he agreed to give a ride to the birthday girl and a few of her friends to the whalebone beach. While the teenagers were hanging out, Vítor pulled a pistol and a shotgun and killed four people. One of the girls tried to escape but Vítor chased her and killed her with a stick.

After the crimes, Vítor went back to his house. He justified the blood on his clothes by telling his wife he ran over a man while driving. He convinced his wife and his 16-year old daughter to follow him to a pine forest. There, he stabbed them to death. His 14-year-old daughter was able to escape and called the…
